ONLINE CLINICAL SUPERVISION · Tennessee

Supervision that actually
prepares you
for sessions.

For LMFT associates and Master's-level counseling students who want direct, practical, attachment-informed supervision. You'll leave every session with tools you can use with clients the same week — and a supervisor in your corner who's honest, approachable, collaborative, and helpful.

My Philosophy

Good supervision is
applied — not abstract.

Every session should leave you sharper — clearer on your cases, more confident in the room, and better equipped than when you came in. That's the standard I hold myself to as a supervisor.

ABOUT

Hi, I'm Carrie.

I'm an AAMFT Approved Supervisor offering individual and group supervision online, open to MMFT’s working toward licensure and Master's-level interns working toward graduation. My licensure is in Tennessee.

My supervision is direct and practical — I won’t talk in circles with you. You'll get real feedback, concrete frameworks, and a clear direction after every session.

I'm also genuinely curious and easy to talk to — so while sessions are productive, they don't feel clinical or stiff. I pay close attention to languaging - the specific words that shift energy in the room and unlock what talk therapy alone misses. You'll develop that skill too.

Our focus areas…

What you should expect when we work together.

  • You'll leave every session knowing exactly what to do with your client next week. No vague takeaways.

  • Know who you are as a clinician — your style, your language, your presence. That clarity is a clinical asset.

  • Understand the rules well enough to navigate ethical areas confidently. We cover the practical stuff, not just the theory.

  • Your reactions, countertransference, and patterns show up in the room. We address them directly because they're clinical data.

  • We build sustainable habits before burnout shows up — not after. This is part of being a competent clinician.

  • Every session ends with something you can actually use — specific interventions, language, and moves for your caseload.

FAQs

What is your therapeutic orientation?

1

My approach is primarily attachment-based, drawing on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFCT and EFIT). I also integrate EMDR, CBT/DBT with Mindfulness, and ACT. I'm genuinely curious by nature, and I place a big emphasis on languaging: the specific words we choose to create energy in the room and draw out the subconscious beliefs and stuck places that talk therapy alone often misses.

How do I get started?

2

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

I already have a primary supervisor but need more supervision hours. Do you offer group supervision or supplemental individual hours?

3

Yes. I offer groups, typically on weekend mornings, as well as supplemental individual hours. Email me (carriebmichael@gmail.com) to get on the list to be notified of any opportunities you may be interested in.

Are you currently accepting supervisees? Are sessions online or in person?

4

Yes, I currently have availability for primary and group supervision in 2026. All of my supervision sessions are conducted online via Zoom.
